About us

Northern Territory Cricket Ltd is the peak sporting body for cricket in the Territory. As custodians of the sport, we work closely with Cricket Australia, the seven other State & Territory Associations and our members to serve and grow the game. Our purpose is to 'unite and inspire our community through cricket' and our vision is to 'create a thriving sport for all'.

Cricket in the Northern Territory is unique. Our small diverse community is spread across a vast and rugged land mass bigger than most countries. Our two largest towns are 1,500kms apart. Our season never ends, with Top End cricketers playing in the dry season, while those in the Red Centre battle it out over summer. Cricket doesn't stop in the Territory and that's the way we like it.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Cricket is a critical leadership role that will be accountable for leading and delivering two key areas of the Strategic Plan:

  • Community Cricket - Sustainable Participation Growth
  • Talent and Pathways - Player, Coach and Match Official Development

The Head of Cricket will increase participation across all forms, levels and demographics within the game. They will support the community cricket network of clubs, administrators and volunteers to make cricket fun, welcoming and accessible across the Territory, in particular driving increased participation amoungst women and girls.

As part of the NT Cricket's senior management team, the Head of Cricket will work closely with the CEO and sit alongside the Head of Facilities, Head of Clubs and Competitions, and Head of Events, Communications and Marketing - ensuring there is strong alignment of key strategic pillars of the game across the Northern Territory.
