We are on the lookout for a Doctor to engage with the South Sydney Rabbitohs as an independent contractor to manage the medical care for all our Pathways squads. This is a vital role within our sports medicine team, dedicated to supporting our athletes across all Pathways squads through the season.
Key Responsibilities
Game Day Excellence: Provide premier medical services for Pathways teams, including comprehensive post-game evaluations and urgent advisementon injuries.
Post-Game Care: Lead acute medical sessions following games to assess and manage injuries, primarily conducted on Monday evenings.
Education and Development: Engage in Continuous Education Program (CEP) courses and seminars to remain at the forefront of sports medicine andrehabilitation practices.
Specialisation in Sports Injuries: Exhibit a strong understanding of head trauma and concussion protocols, ensuring all care adheres to the latestguidelines.
Record Keeping: Diligently maintain player treatment records, ensuring thorough follow-up and reporting.
Collaboration and Support: Aid in game day preparations and work closely with the team to provide holistic care.
Professional Conduct: Adhere strictly to the organisation's policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Flexible Availability: Available Mondays (5pm - 8pm) for training and consultations, and on weekends for games, with schedules varying by locationand event.
Independent Contractor Requirements
Applicant will be engaged with the organisation as an Independent Contractor and must have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
Applicant will invoice the Club for hours worked at games and training.
Applicant must have a valid NSW Working with Children Check.
Applicant must have a valid registration with with Ahpra.
Applicant must have and maintain valid professional and public liability and indemnity insurance with an insurer with a limit of liability not less than$20 million.
Availability for weekend games is essential. The season runs from February to October and teams can play on Thursday evening, Friday evening, Saturday all day, Sunday all day or Monday evening depending on the fixtures.
Hours will range depending on fixtures worked and your availability, applicant will invoice the Club for hours worked.
The role may involve travel to games in greater Sydney Region, Regional NSW and ACT.
