The Queensland Firebirds are Queensland’s premier netball team, representing the state in the world’s greatest netball competition, Suncorp Super Netball (SSN). Netball Queensland (NQ) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced candidates for the position of Queensland Firebirds Head Coach.

The key focus of the role will be to:

• Lead the coaching, technical direction and overall performance of the Queensland Firebirds.
• Establish and ensure the adoption and ongoing practice, by players and staff of the vision, team identity, game philosophy, culture, standards and its associated values and behaviours.

Candidates will need to demonstrate their ability to develop and lead a program that sees the Queensland Firebirds perform at a consistently high level to challenge for SSN finals.

Candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:

• NCAS High Performance accreditation (or Elite Coaching accreditation with proof of current progression to High Performance level); and
• a minimum of five years coaching in an elite or semi-professional environment, ideally in a Head Coach role.
