Peninsula Leisure is excited to be expanding our Lifeguard team for our Award-winning facilities, Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) and Pines Forest Aquatic Centre (PINES).
These casual positions champion our focus on delivering a safe environment for all guests and an exceptional customer experience.
Lifeguards provide frontline supervision of our aquatic environment. Promoting and enforcing appropriate aquatic behaviour, ensuring our pools are free from hazards and responding to emergencies are important requirements of this role.
PARC and PINES have operating hours ranging from 4:30am until 9:30pm. Successful candidates will be required to work within these times and must be available at least one day on weekends. Daily shifts can vary in length, from 3 to 10 hours.
Our remuneration rates for Pool Lifeguards are in accordance with the Fitness Industry Award 2020, Level 3. Full adult rates apply to employees who are 18 years or older.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Effectively supervising the aquatic environment
- Promote supervision and customer service excellence through all actions and behaviours
- Acting as a role model for positive and safe behaviour, educating members and guests
- Promoting and enforcing appropriate behaviour standards in the aquatic environment and assisting in providing an enjoyable and safe recreation experience for guests
- Ensuring that the pool deck is well maintained and free from hazards at all times
- Being friendly and approachable with great customer attitude
Key Selection Criteria:
- SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard Certificate (Issued in Victoria)
- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
- Working With Children Check (if 18y/o or older)
