The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is at the forefront of high-performance sport in Queensland, supporting over 500 elite athletes from talented juniors to Olympic, Paralympic, and World Championship levels. We are on the lookout for motivated Sport Medical Officers to deliver support for our athletes and sport programs.
At QAS, we have a dynamic team of over 60 performance health practitioners - including Doctors, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists - dedicated to enhancing the health, wellbeing, and performance of athletes across 20 supported sports. Our practitioners play a pivotal role in minimising the risk of injury and illness while optimising performance through leading health strategies.
As we gear up for the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we’re continuing to build a high-performing team of health experts. Together, we will drive Queensland athletes to even greater success on the world stage.
The successful applicants will be contracted by QAS as a ‘Supplier’ for an initial contract term from 6 January 2025 to 28 February 2027, with an option to extend for a further 2 years until 28 February 2029 at the discretion of QAS.
If you're excited about the possibility of joining QAS and making an impact in high-performance sport, we encourage you to express your interest and submit your application today.
