RESPONSIBILITIES

The Fundraising Enablement Specialist is responsible for empowering and educating fundraisers, cultivating donor relationships, and ensuring the effective delivery of resources and activities that drive successful fundraising efforts.

This role involves creating educational content, supporting key fundraising accounts, and collaborating with internal teams to develop and distribute materials that align with the organisation's brand and fundraising goals.

The Fundraising Enablement Specialist will be responsible for:

Fundraising education content and management

  • Create educational resources and materials that empower fundraisers to attract donations from their supporters and communities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, and Philanthropy teams to develop and manage content that educates fundraisers on effectively engaging potential donors and supporters.
  • Present at forums, webinars, and other educational opportunities to share best practices and strategies with fundraisers.

Fundraising enablement and education

  • Develop and provide digital resources that enable ASF to attract more fundraisers and help them succeed in their fundraising efforts.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to fundraisers, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to engage their communities effectively.
  • Support key accounts in achieving their fundraising objectives by offering tailored advice and resources.

Alignment with Fundraising and Partnership team goals

  • Work closely with the F&P team to ensure that resources align with their goals, enhancing donor engagement and supporting fundraising efforts.
  • Provide the sales team with digital collateral and resources that drive effective donor engagement and fundraising success.
  • Supporting key accounts to achieve their fundraising objectives through tailored strategies and resources.

Alignment with Philanthropy team goals

  • Collaborating with the Philanthropy team to drive donations to ASF through targeted campaigns. 
  • Develop and execute strategies for cultivating and stewarding donors through digital channels, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
  • Utilise CRM tools to track donor interactions, personalise communication, and strengthen donor relationships.
  • Support the Philanthropy team in driving donations to ASF through ASF-specific initiatives and campaigns.

Marketing material coordination

  • Oversee the production of digital assets, such as landing pages, social media graphics, and email templates, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Support the grant round reporting process by providing necessary data and insights.
  • Contribute to the development of voice and content in annual reports and other organisational materials, ensuring they reflect ASF's fundraising achievements and goals.

KEY SKILLS 

  • In-depth knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and stewardship practices. Experience in developing resources and training fundraisers to achieve their goals.
  • Strong ability to create, manage, and deliver educational content tailored to empower fundraisers. Experience in producing digital resources, presentations, and other educational materials.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, email marketing software, and social media management. Ability to coordinate and produce digital marketing materials that align with fundraising goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively in forums, webinars, and other educational settings.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring the timely delivery of resources.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with marketing, sales, partnerships, and philanthropy teams. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively support key accounts and internal stakeholders in achieving fundraising success.
  • Brings a positive contribution to team and organisational culture. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related field, with a strong understanding of fundraising strategies and digital marketing practices.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit marketing, with a track record of successful campaign execution and donor engagement.
  • Experience in creating and managing educational content and resources tailored to fundraisers, including digital materials and training sessions.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools to support fundraising initiatives.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams, particularly with marketing, sales, and philanthropy departments, to drive cohesive fundraising strategies.
