Description

Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) is seeking a passionate and dynamic Digital MarComms and Membership Coordinator to manage marketing, communications, and membership engagement for the club initially on a 2 year contract. The role involves developing creative strategies to increase brand exposure and handling the full execution of digital and media needs for the club and its sponsors. You’ll also coordinate all membership activities, manage home match day functions, and support event execution throughout the season. Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing: Develop and implement marketing campaigns aligned with the club’s strategy, including creating brand-oriented stories, marketing plans, and engaging content across multiple channels.
  • Media and Communications: Manage the club’s website, social media channels, and email communications. Oversee content creation and ensure consistent online presence.
  • Membership Management: Lead all membership-related activities, from promotion and sales to events and communications. Organise membership packages and develop strategies for membership growth.
  • Event Coordination: Support major events, including the Annual Finals Lunch, Season Launch, President’s Lunch, and match day activities such as Ladies Day and Sponsor Days.
  • Match Day Execution: Lead home match day functions, including ticketing, promotion, event setup, and managing logistics.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in digital platforms (social media, websites, email marketing)
  • Event planning and organisation experience
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva, and CMS platforms like WordPress
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and match days
  • RSA certified

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Event Management
  • Experience in sports marketing, especially within rugby
  • First Aid qualified
