About this Opportunity
We're looking for an energetic and experienced Program Manager - Aquatics to lead and grow our diverse swimming programs at the Aquatics Centre.
This role requires a strategic leader who can inspire their team, manage and develop sports program and associated operations, inspire their team and help develop a high-performing, customer-focused environment. We’re seeking someone with a passion for sports and skills development, who can identify opportunities for improvement and innovation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
In this role you will:
Promote and develop various aquatic sports programs, aimed at enhancing the skills of participants and sportspeople
Manage the Learn to Swim, Squad and Aquatic Fitness programs, aimed at skills development of participants and sportspeople
Planning and directing aquatic program strategies
Motivating participants and sportspeople to develop their skills
Drive initiatives to increase participation and engagement in all swimming programs
Lead, develop, and support the team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, industry-leading aquatic programs
Manage and coach a team of coaches, instructors, and deck supervisors, providing professional development and support
Foster a positive and inclusive culture aligned with organizational values
Utilize technology to enhance program efficiency and customer engagement
Collaborate with marketing and management to promote programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement
To be successful in the role you will have:
At least a Diploma level qualification and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven ability to develop and implement aquatic programs.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and professionally develop a team.
Commercial acumen and experience in meeting financial targets.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to innovate and think strategically.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
A commitment to customer service excellence.
Relevant qualifications, including Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, Blue Card, and First Aid & CPR certification.
