AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.

We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia’s Olympic, Commonwealth Games and World Tour athletes.

Position Purpose

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing paid digital marketing campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, Display, YouTube and other identified channels, as well as managing direct email communications to members, subscribers and other audience groups. The goal is to increase audience reach, enhance brand awareness, and foster positive sentiment towards AusCycling about our events and products.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver paid digital marketing campaigns across Meta, Google and other identified channels to support our overarching marketing plans for AusCycling’s products, services and events.
  • With support from the Event Marketing Specialist and the Head of Marketing and Brand, write and brief all ads for paid Meta and Google campaigns.
  • Optimise and manage campaigns within Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Producer to ensure that the AusCycling website network is set up to measure efficacy of digital marketing campaigns, including maintaining tracking pixels, conversion measures and UTM links.
  • Write and deliver direct email campaigns to AusCycling’s members, subscribers and other audiencce groups, in line with our overarching marketing plans.
  • Collaborating across the organisation, curate and prepare content for member communications.
  • Contribute to a review of and identify areas to improve engagement with our audience through direct email communication.
  • Collaborate with the Member Services team to manage and maintain all data within MailChimp, including managing a preference centre.
  • Prepare reports and make recommendations to adjust and improve performance across Meta, Google and direct email campaigns.
  • Assist the Event Marketing Specialist in uploading event listings to the AusCycling website.
  • Provide additional marketing support as required across the business.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or demonstrated relevant professional experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in developing and executing digital marketing activities.
  • Proven experience working with Meta Ads Manager and Google Adwords or appropriate relevant training.
  • Basic skills in graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva to edit or update visuals for social media, ads, and other content.
