Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Rugby to lead our rugby program and raise its profile across the School. If you have a strong background in coaching, a deep understanding of the game, and a commitment to nurturing young athletes both on and off the field, then we want to hear from you!

You will develop and implement a project plan in collaboration with the Director of Sport to develop a strong positive culture and grow the School’s rugby program. You will be highly motivated, energetic and possess strong relationship building and organisational skills. You will be responsible for inspiring students, encouraging community engagement and connecting the School with professional coaches and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a strong positive culture around the rugby program emphasising both a participation and competitive focus.
  • Facilitate Rugby training as part of the School’s compulsory sports program for boys and girls.
  • Organise and manage a squad program for students at a competitive level and opportunities for talented students to be challenged and develop - in conjunction with the Director of Sport and relevant people in charge of various School sporting programs.
  • Take the lead role in the management and operation of intra-School rugby carnivals.
  • Organisation and management of appropriate out of season training programs, representative teams in events competitions and holiday training camps.

About You

  • Relevant coaching qualifications.
  • Managerial and/or organisational experience in Rugby.
  • Hold current Working with Children Check.
  • Hold a current police clearance dated within the last 6 months.
  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Respect the values, traditions and Anglican ethos of the School.
