Learn to Swim Victoria is part of Surrey Park Swimming established in 1904 and is one of the oldest clubs in Australia for over 100 years. Our not-for-profit organisation seeks to provide the best club and lesson environment in Victoria to ensure all swimmers are reaching their full potential and building a love for the sport of swimming.
As a fast growing swim school, we are now looking for LTS Coordinators with an exceptional understanding and passion for quality swim instruction and customer service to join our leadership team. Work will be available at Learn to Swim Victoria, Heidelberg. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 7:30pm and weekends at various times between 8:00am and 5:00pm, the successful candidate will be required to wokr on rotating days (including weekends) to ensure the high quality delivery of aquatic education across all days.
As key members of the Swim School leadership team the LTS Coordinators will report to the Swim School Manager, and will work closely with the Club's General Manager to assist with all aspects of the management and operations of the Swim School. Some direct responsibilities will include:
- Day to day operations of the swim school;
- Training and development of instructors;
- Swim and dive class scheduling;
- Staff supervision & rostering;
- Administrative reporting;
- Plant room and pool water quality management
This position requires a current AUSTSWIM (or Swim Australia) Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety, Pool Lifeguard qualification and Working with Children Check.
Completion of extension courses in Infants and Pre School Aquatics, Aquatics Access and Inclusion, AUSTSWIM Assessor and a Swimming Australia Coaching licence is desirable; as is a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
