The Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for:
- Designing and delivering a comprehensive Strength & Conditioning program for the MLC Sport Department and Health & Fitness options.
- Collaborating with the Head of Athletic Development to ensure a supportive and beneficial program for MLC students and community athletes.
- Promoting and facilitating enjoyable, progressive programs and opportunities for student engagement.
Some of your primary duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Create and implement strength and conditioning programs tailored for MLC students and athletes within community sport programs, including standardised warm-up and cool-down protocols.
- Develop and manage core physical development pathways and fundamental movement skills.
- Design and oversee a testing and reporting framework for functional movement and strength.
- Collaborate with external medical providers for injury rehabilitation pathways.
- Individualise health and fitness programs for the general student population.
- Potential for additional hours within other Sport programs for qualified candidates.

About You
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Open to ideas, striving for excellence, and demonstrating a high level of integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective planning and organisational abilities.
- Proven competence in technology usage.
- Appropriate qualifications and demonstrated expertise in relevant fields, including:
- Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science/Health Sciences or equivalent.
- ASCA Level 1 S&C Accreditation and/or Certificate III & IV in Fitness/Personal Training.
- Understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
Desirable Criteria:
- Postgraduate degree in Exercise Science/Health Sciences or equivalent.
- ASCA Level 2 S&C Accreditation or above and/or CSCS.
- Previous coaching or athletic experience.
