Description

Oversee competition, program delivery and stakeholder management across all the Wanneroo Basketball Association venues. 

Form relationships with Games Managers, Door Staff and various Domestic Competition stakeholders to support the growth and sustainable delivery of the Wolves various domestic competitions and programs; and develop and manage the policies and procedures of the Wanneroo Basketball Association.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Takes directions from the CEO, & GM as applicable.
  2. Delivery of all competitions and programs hosted by the Wanneroo Basketball Association including:
    • Fixturing, Registrations and all competition requirements
    • Database management
    • Domestic Club and Member Relations
    • GOS & Officials Rosters
    • GOS & Officials Payroll
    • Junior domestic court hire; bookings and invoicing
    • Player affiliation reconciliations
  3. Management & matainence of the membership database, including registration process and backend database management.
  4. Maintain and ensure implementation of, the various By Laws, Policies and Procedures of the Wanneroo Basketball Association.
  5. Assist with Association phone, email or face to face queries and provide an immediate response where possible including:
    • Competition queries such as fixture changes, forfeits or complaints;
    • Service deliveries; and other aspects as required for the role within a sporting organisation.
  6. Assist in the scheduling of competition matches and training sessions using appropriate software (i.e. PlayHQ) and working with relevant stakeholders to ensure suitable referee resourcing.
  7. Attend all Domestic Club President & Registrar Meetings. 
  8. Use relevant software programs such as PlayHQ, Refbook and Connecteam to coordinate operational aspects of the association. 
  9. Undertake duties as directed to ensure venues are capable of hosting competitions and training as required.
  10. Assist with weekly cash collection and all weekly cash reconciliations completed as required.
  11. Develop and maintain the Association wide master calendar for key program and competition dates.
  12. Maintain the following registers:
    • Training and First Aid
    • Working with Children Checks
    • Domestic Club Contacts
    • Suite of Wanneroo Basketball Association Policies and Procedures
  13. In addition to the duties specified above, the Employer is entitled to request the Employee to perform such other duties as are within the Employee’s skill, competence or training and are reasonably requested in order to meet the requirements of the company.

Essential Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Play HQ software - Advanced level
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Relevant Basketball/Sporting Experience
  • Current Working Withwith Children Check
  • Current “C” Class Driver’s License
  • Up to date First Aid Accreditation (“Provide First Aid”)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Understanding of financial management software programs, including MYOB 
  • Relevant Referee Experience (Desirable)
