Description

Bruce location: Bruce Rainbow Club, Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre,100 Eastern Valley Way, Bruce ACT 2617 (Sunday 10:00pm-1:00pm)

Calwell: Calwell Pool, 15 Webber Crescent, Calwell ACT 2905 (Saturdays-4.00pm – 6.00pm)

Queanbeyan: Queanbeyan Aquatics, Cnr Crawford Campbell and, Antill St, Queanbeyan NSW 2620 (Sunday 2.00pm – 5.00pm)

About Rainbow Club:

Rainbow Club is a network of social swimming clubs for children with a disability. Rainbow Club Australia is a charity that helps children with a disability learn to swim and provides young adults with aqua exercise classes. We have 70+ clubs across NSW, ACT and QLD and have plans to increase our footprint to meet the increasing demand for membership. We have recently opened our operations in Victoria. We employ 350+ swimming teachers on a casual basis to provide personalised swimming lessons and aqua exercises to children and young adults with a disability. 

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified swimming teachers to help children with disabilities learn to swim at our ACT clubs (Bruce, Calwell and Queanbeyan). You can pick the shifts as per your availability.

Responsibilities Swim Teacher: 

Conduct safe, positive, and motivating swimming classes following our Swim the Rainbow Program  

Skills and Experience: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of swim teaching and water safety, ensuring member safety and enjoyment 
  • Ability to manage members of various ages and abilities in an aquatic learning environment.
