The Gold Coast SUNS are on the lookout for a full time Social Media Coordinator who is creative and passionate about all things in the digital and social media space.
Reporting to the Digital Content & Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for producing innovative content to engage audiences across the multiple communication channels that the Gold Coast SUNS currently have.
The social media coordinator will lead the production of multimedia content for GCFC’s digital communication platforms to ensure the club can tell its story effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Digital Content & Engagement manager assist in creating GCFC Digital Content, Growth & Engagement Strategy.
- Help to create a wide range of social media initiatives that will attract broader interest and engagement of fans to increase the Club’s audience.
- Assist the storytelling component of overarching Communications strategy to grow digital content and secure additional media placements outside of football offering.
- Management of the Club Apps
- Oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of the GCFC websites and all social properties.
- Stay on top of technology developments in the digital and social media field.
- Work closely with commercial team to integrate social media and digital properties into sponsorship agreements as well as generating new concepts and creating new business opportunities.

- Experience in a similar role in an elite sporting environment.
- Proven experience bringing stories to life through digital and social media channels.
- Exceptional people skills with the ability to engage not only the Clubs fans and members, but also your teammates and colleagues.
- Strong work ethic. We need you to be relentless as you pursue challenges and achieve deadlines and goals. (This is not a 9-5 job)
