The Role:
Western United FC is seeking a passionate and driven Junior Academy Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our professional team. This role is an exciting opportunity to work within a professional football environment with our Junior Academy, supporting player development through the application of sports science and strength & conditioning principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all sports science activities, including monitoring training and matchday loads.
- Collaborate with the Academy Director and Head Coaches to set training schedules and recovery protocols.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation programs in partnership with the sports medical team.
- Present performance data in a clear, actionable format to support coaching decisions.
- Maintain training, rehab, and gym equipment, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Contribute to a positive, results-driven team culture, promoting the values of Western United FC.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Degree in Applied Science (Human Movement) or similar qualification.
- Experience in fundamental gym techniques, ideally Olympic lifting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Current Working with Children Check, Child Safeguarding Training, and Victorian Driver’s License.
- Ability to work on matchdays locally and interstate.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master of Exercise Science.
