Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Development Officer to expand rugby league participation within our catchment. This role focuses on engaging with local schools and clubs to deliver programs for young athletes, promoting pathways into our junior and senior teams. The position also supports talent identification and development to align with the Brisbane Tigers' strategic vision and QRL guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver rugby league programs in schools, inspiring participation at the grassroots level.
  • Develop tailored rugby league programs for boys and girls, aligning with Brisbane Tigers' pathway systems.
  • Support local junior and senior clubs in providing coaching resources and talent identification.
  • Coordinate 'come and try' days, clinics, and talent camps to promote club membership.
  • Engage with school coaches and PE teachers, offering professional development and coaching resources.
  • Act as a liaison between Brisbane Tigers, schools, and clubs, strengthening community ties.

About You

You are a driven, passionate individual with a background in rugby league or youth sports development. You excel at relationship-building and have experience working with schools and clubs. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to nurturing young talent make you an ideal fit for this role.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Rugby League Coaching Accreditation (Level 1 or 2).
  • Experience in youth development, ideally within rugby league.
  • Driver’s License and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Background in school and club engagement or community-based sports development.
