The Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA) has a proud tradition of supporting athletes in their sporting pursuits.  The objective and focus of the OWIA is the fulfilment of podium-calibre performances at World Cup, World Championship events and ultimately at the Olympic Winter Games.  The OWIA identity represents a strong tie to the Olympic family in Australia.

Underpinning all OWIA operations are a strong set of core values that include Excellence; Health; Integrity; and Respect.  These values align with our fundamental principles and are embedded in the way we work, communicate, collaborate and make decisions.

The Winter Olympic quadrennial is well underway, building toward the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. With our continued growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sport Performance Coordinator who shares our passion for high performance and organisational excellence to join the team.

The Role

This position is one of three Sport Performance Coordinators within the OWIA Sport Performance Team, a group dedicated to leading our sports with excellence, respect, integrity, and a holistic approach to supporting athletes and coaches to Win Well.

In this role, you will work closely with coaches, athletes, and performance services staff to ensure the seamless execution of training and competition activities while identifying and addressing athlete needs. The role requires a deep understanding of high performance sport to successfully collaborate with coaches and individual athletes, providing constructive feedback and offering alternative perspectives to ensure optimal athlete development and outcomes.

Success in this position relies on your ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders, fostering high-quality training and competition environments that enable athletes to achieve peak performance and medal outcomes.
