The Role
PLC invites applications from candidates with an aquatics background for the full-time, fixed-term position (parental leave) of Learn to Swim Coordinator, commencing in January 2025 through until early October 2025. Hours of work include morning and afternoon/evening shifts, spread across Monday to Saturday.
Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Manager, this position is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and staffing an established Learn to Swim and Water Safety Program for the PLC College and wider community.
About You
You will have a passion for developing water skills in children of all ages, be a strong team player, and a highly competent administrator within our Aquatic Centre.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, an understanding of young people (swim students and Learn to Swim staff), strong ICT skills, high-level administrative skills, a solutions-focused attitude and a positive work ethic.
Essential to this role is demonstrated experience in a swim centre environment. Postgraduate studies in Sports Administration (or similar) would be highly regarded.
You will also need to provide evidence of current AUSTSWIM, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certificates.
