Netball NSW is a not-for-profit organisation and is governed by a Board of Directors and managed by professional staff. Netball NSW is the peak state sporting organisation responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of netball throughout New South Wales and is affiliated to Netball Australia.
Netball NSW has a proud history of elite netball teams and athletes’ performances in national and international competition. Over 300 athletes have proudly represented NSW in elite competition since the inception of the national netball league in 1997 and then the ANZ Championship. 2017 saw the introduction of the Suncorp Super Netball, the top Australian domestic competition which includes two Netball NSW elite teams, the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball.
The Marketing Coordinator at Netball NSW will support the Marketing Director in executing effective marketing campaigns and initiatives that strengthen the brand and drive engagement across 3 brands of: Netball NSW, NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball. This role will focus on managing campaign implementation, helping to drive audience engagement, coordinating with the design and ticketing teams, and maintaining the brand’s active presence on social media.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing
- Work closely with the Marketing Lead to execute marketing plans and extend the reach of the Netball NSW, GIANTS Netball and NSW Swifts brands to new and engaged audiences.
- Assist in the implementation of marketing plans for both GIANTS Netball and NSW Swifts.
- Brief the Graphic Design team on creative needs, assist in managing deadlines, and ensure assets are checked, approved, and dispatched in alignment with campaign timelines.
- Work closely with Ticketing Managers from the Swifts and GIANTS teams to help plan direct marketing activity to appropriate audiences.
- Help develop content calendar for social media activity across Netball NSW channels, including content capture opportunities.
- Assist with collating content for marketing campaigns and reporting documents
Relationships Management
- Work closely with the Commercial Partnership Managers to support the delivery of marketing assets
- Be a liaison between NNSW, NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball teams to ensure content calendar is up to date with key releases

Essential qualifications and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. marketing, comms or related
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content management tools
- Creative thinker who likes to toe the line
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitaskWorking with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current driver’s license
Knowledge and skills
- An understanding of the sporting culture and not for profit organisations (desirable).
- A high level of computer expertise covering Microsoft Office, predominantly Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
- Excellent phone manner and written skills.
- Knowledge and experience in sponsorship (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in administration management.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, plan work programs, meets deadlines and manages time effectively.
- Experience in working independently and as an integral part of a team.
