About the Opportunity
Council is on the look out for an Aquatic Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage the operation of Western Downs Regional Council’s aquatic centres, including the monitoring of contracted site management, maintenance scheduling, site activation, compliance, and reporting.
This position can be based at either Dalby or Chinchilla.
You will:
- Managing all agreements in relation to Council’s Aquatic Centres, ensuring compliance with the contracts, legislation, local laws, code of conduct and values, and Council's policies and procedures.
- Monitoring key performance indicators to ensure the effective management and operation of the Council’s facilities and delivery of agreed contract outcomes.
- Developing strong and professional relationships with external operators, facilitating collaboration with Council for the benefit of the community.
- Ensuring effective communication and joint outcomes are achieved between the external operators, key facility stakeholders, and Council.
This role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week with a fortnightly RDO.
About yourself
A person in this position will need to hold a relevant tertiary qualification in sport, aquatics, and recreation management or a related field OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience. It is also required that the candidate hold or be willing to obtain:
- current "C" Class Queensland Drivers Licence;
- current Blue Card (Working with Children Check);
- current First Aid and CPR;
- current Pool Lifeguard; and
- aquatic technical operations qualification.
Mandatory Vaccinations (or a valid and verifiable contraindication) are to be evidenced when requested by Council.
