Over 8 decades of swim experience, Shapland Swim School has curated a bespoke and industry leading learn-to-swim program from baby programs through to school age, advanced stroke correction and classes for adults, delivered by passionate and industry certified teachers in semi-private classes of only 3 students per class. Each Shapland Swim School features a purpose-built indoor multi-level pool, filled with Magna mineral water heated to 32 degrees. Private humidity free viewing lounges overlook the pools.
Due to swim school growth, a number of instructors are now required to work across multiple sites with the option of South Brisbane (Stretton and Logan Reserve); or North Brisbane (Everton Park, Kallangur, Taigum and Warner). Part time shifts are offered across the operational hours of 7am to 6:40pm weekdays, and 7am to mid afternoon on Saturdays.
Learn to Swim Instructors are responsible for teaching high quality swimming education to semi-private groups and individuals, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Whilst this position teaches swimming lessons to both children and adults, applicants must be passionate about working with young children and making them safer around the water.
To be successful in this role you should be energetic and fun, with a flair for working with children. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence. Candidates will ideally hold a Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification, from AUSTSWIM/Swim Australia or equivalent, and be experienced in the delivery of aquatic education programs, preferably with young children.
