As a Learn to Swim Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality swimming lessons to MLC students and community members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, passion, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and enjoyable learning environment for swimmers of all ages.
This role involves inspiring a love for swimming while prioritising water safety. Proven experience as a Learn to Swim Instructor and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team are essential.
The Learn to Swim Program operates between:
- Monday to Thursday 3.25-5.30 pm
- Saturday 9.00 am-11.30am
There are also opportunities to conduct daytime classes during school hours or term breaks for students and local school groups.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Learn to Swim Instructor (Minimum of 12 months experience).
- Ability to engage with and motivate program participants.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Commitment to high customer service standards and foster positive relationships.
- Reliable and punctual to rostered shifts.
- Ability to engage and motivate program participants.
- Must be over the age of 18 years old
ESSENTIAL:
- Working with Children’s Check permit (Employee).
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification or equivalent.
- CPR (HTLAID001)
DESIRABLE:
- AUSTSWIM extension courses or equivalent.
- Australian Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID003)
