The Partnerships Account Manager will be responsible for generating new revenue streams and maintaining strong relationships with existing partners to drive the financial sustainability and growth of the Western Clydesdales RLFC. Working closely with the CEO, this role will focus on revenue generation through the acquisition of new partnerships and the effective delivery of partnership benefits.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Revenue Generation
Identify, approach and secure new sponsorship and partnership opportunities in line with club objectives.
Develop a thorough understanding of potential and existing partners’ position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape.
Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to potential sponsors’ needs.
Collaborate with the CEO to ensure effective contract negotiation and partnership agreements.
Partnership Management
Maintain regular communication with existing partners to nurture relationships and maximise engagement.
Ensure all partnership rights and benefits are delivered effectively and on time.
Manage partner inquiries and provide exceptional service to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Operational Activities
Coordinate and oversee partner involvement in match day activities, club events and other activations.
Assist in the delivery of partner-related events, including setup, execution and pack-down.
Work with the CEO, Football Operations Manager and Marketing and Media Coordinator to facilitate player appearances and other partner deliverables.
Regularly and accurately update contact details, activities and relationship strategies for each existing/potential partner in the club’s CRM.
Strategic Contribution
Support the implementation of the Western Clydesdales’ strategic plan with a focus on partnerships and revenue objectives.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners to ensure sustained revenue growth.
Prepare and deliver regular reports on partnership performance to the CEO.
Represent the Western Clydesdales at business networking events and meetings.
Key Requirements
Experience
Proven experience in sales, sponsorship or partnership management, preferably within sports or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to develop and close new business opportunities.
Experience in delivering exceptional client servicing to maintain and grow partnerships.
Skills
Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in developing proposals and presentations.
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or a related field are desirable.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
