AFL Cairns is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sports Trainers to join our team and contribute to the success of our game day environment by supporting and assisting players and clubs with management of game day injuries.

Key Responsibilities

As an AFL Sports Trainer, you will:

• Provide pre-game and post-game care, including taping, and injury management.
• Deliver first aid and immediate injury assessment and management during games 
• Work collaboratively with coaches & team managers regarding players return to play policies which include concussion proticols.
• Completing paperwork associated with injuries
• Maintain sports medicine equipment and supplies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Qualifications: Minimum Level 1 Sports Trainer certification and current First Aid and CPR certificates Or current trainee or medical provider.
• Experience: Previous experience in sports training, preferably in AFL or a similar high-performance environment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of injury management, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Availability: Attend Competition matches, and events - Competition matches are held on Sundays between 9am-5pm
