The Opportunity

The position will lead and develop the Noosa Aquatic Centre’s high-performance swim squad coaching program, ensuring a high-quality proactive approach to the squad training.

The role will develop, implement and deliver a contemporary squad program, conduct effective coaching sessions as per the centre schedule, maintain a high standard of coaching performance ensuring all programs achieve positive results, assist, coordinate and effectively link the learn to swim programs to the squad program and lastly, manage and assist in building a dynamic working culture focussed on talent development and personal best results.

  • Position Remuneration: Aquatics Grade 2 ($23.96 to $36.87 inclusive of 25% casual loading). The salary will be based on the age of the successful applicant.

About You

To undertake this position, you will have demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of athletes, parents/guardians, employees and other facility patrons.

You will have the proven ability to be able to work as a team member with all employees.

Further but not limited to, you will have extensive experience in the development, implementation, and delivery of a contemporary, multidiscipline swim coaching program.

The position's focus will be:

  • Provide hands on coaching and teaching including preparation of daily training. 
  • Work closely with squad participants to set and achieve performance goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other coaches in quality program delivery. 
  • Cover staff absences/illnesses.
  • Liaise and maintain a good working relationship with the clubs currently located at the Noosa Aquatic Centre. 
  • Comply with the Noosa Aquatic Centre procedures and policies.
  • Maintain all relevant professional accreditations and certifications.
  • Other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
