ABOUT THE ROLE
- Football Australia is seeking a passionate and strategic leader to fill the role of National Female Engagement Lead for Community Referees.
- This position is integral to promoting gender diversity and supporting the growth of female referees across Australia.
- The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage programs that foster a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment for female referees at all levels of the game.
Please note that this role is fixed term until 30 June 2027.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Champion the development and implementation of a modernised national refereeing education curriculum, tailored to advance the professional development of match officials nationwide.
- Curate engaging and interactive educational materials for integration into the national Learning Management System (LMS), applying contemporary approaches to ensure uniformity and excellence in education across all levels.
- Manage the roll out of the national LMS providing support, training and education for member federation staff across the ecosystem.
- Forge consistent and comprehensive training modules to bolster the education infrastructure within the Australian Football landscape, fostering knowledge transfer and elevated performance standards universally.

ABOUT YOU
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in football (ideally officiating), with a strong focus on development and engagement initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities for female referees within Australian football.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire, support, and empower others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for relationship building.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing impactful programs
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with remote learning tools and strategies, especially in the context of a dispersed, national workforce.

Additional Requirements:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
- International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
- Out of hours and weekend work as required
