The Fintona rowing program has been operating for over 35 years, and in that time, has gone from strength to strength, producing some outstanding results. We are seeking an exceptional and experienced rowing coach to join this exciting program and our dedicated rowers.
The Head Rowing Coach will be responsible for planning and facilitating various aspects of the Fintona Rowing program. Working collaboratively with the Rowing Coordinator, this role ensures the smooth and successful operation of the program, is responsible for boat shed operations and the management of the boat fleet. The Head Rowing Coach will also coach a crew.
The successful applicant will have:
- experience in coaching and leading a team of coaches;
- excellent knowledge of rowing methodologies and of Rowing Victoria/Australia guidelines;
- highly developed communication skills;
- Level 2 Rowing coaching qualification;
- Current Victorian Drivers’ Licence; and
- First aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis certifications.
As attendance at rowing training, regattas and rowing camps is essential, this role requires flexibility in working hours and days across the remainder of the 2024/2025 season.
