About the Position

Newington College is seeking two dedicated and organised individuals to join our Army Cadet Unit. in the following separate roles 

  •  Officer of Cadets - Casual position 
  •  and Q-Store Manager - part time basis  

Both positions are ideal for individuals who value teamwork, organization, and the development of youth. Both roles will provide students with pastoral care and support as well as focus on building their confidence, team spirit. The Office of Cadets will actively participate in cadet activities, including weekly training sessions, annual camps, and necessary training requirements, while upholding Newington’s standards and policies. While the Q-Store Manager will oversee the management and coordination of all Cadet equipment and resources. 

About You

We have deliberately not provided set and narrow selection criteria. However, it would be expected that the successful candidate will:   

  • hold Valid First Aid and CPR qualifications. 
  • hold Working with Children Check (mandatory). 
  • demonstrate a strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • be passionate about delivering exceptional educational programs 
  • utilise technologies to enhance service delivery and learning 
  • understand and adhere to the College’s Child Safeguarding policies and practices 
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of Child Safeguarding at Newington.

In addition, teaching staff will be expected to possess a current First Aid qualification.
