Join our team as a Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Coach and inspire athletes to reach new heights!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching all levels including senior athletes, alongside the Head WAG Coach.
  • With oversight from the Head WAG Coach. Design and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts, ensuring continuous improvement in technical skills, physical conditioning, choreography, and mental toughness.
  • Choreograph engaging and creative routines that highlight each gymnast's strengths while adhering to competition regulations and artistic standards.
  • Conduct engaging and challenging training sessions, including routine refinement and performance-based choreography, providing detailed feedback and support to help athletes reach their full potential.
  • Evaluate gymnast performance during training and competitions, including choreography execution, adjusting programs and routines as needed to maximize results and address areas for improvement.
  • Create a positive, motivating, and safe training environment that encourages athletes to excel, while ensuring well-being and comfort, especially during choreography and artistic expression development.
  • Work closely with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to athlete development, including seamless integration of choreography and technical elements into routines.
  • Communicate regularly with athletes and their families regarding progress, goals, and any pertinent information or concerns, with special attention to feedback on choreography and artistic development.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the junior gymnastics program, including administrative duties, while ensuring alignment with developmental objectives and offering guidance and support to both junior athletes and coaches.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and changes in gymnastics regulations, including evolving standards for artistry and choreography, to ensure top-notch coaching standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a gymnastics coach with a strong focus on Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, including choreography. 
  • Senior coaching qualifications - FIG Level 2 or equivalent. 
  • Demonstrated success in coaching athletes at competitive levels with a track record of achieving notable results.
  • In-depth knowledge of gymnastics techniques, training methods, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire athletes and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt to the evolving needs of a competitive gymnastics program.
  • Current first aid (or willingness to obtain).
