What You'll Do
The objective of the Ticketing & Match Day Yield Specialist is to work collaboratively with NBL Clubs to optimise revenue generation from match day ticketing.
In this role, you will:
Revenue Strategy & Analysis
- Develop seating configuration models to maximize attendance and revenue across member, premium, corporate, and general admission categories
- Conduct market and price elasticity analysis to optimize ticket pricing across different-sized markets
- Analyze venue benchmarks and ticket agent fees to identify revenue optimization and cost reduction opportunities
- Create targeted strategies to boost sales on non-prime match days
Growth & Implementation
- Drive year-on-year ticket revenue growth through innovative yield strategies
- Design and execute group sales and community engagement initiatives with measurable targets
- Lead premium seating optimization based on market analysis
- Partner with clubs to implement attendance growth strategies
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Collaborate with clubs to ensure successful implementation of revenue initiatives
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations through clear, compelling reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Support clubs in adopting and executing recommended strategies
What You Bring
Essential Experience and Skills:
- Proven track record in managing ticketing inventory - increasing ticket sales in live events or sports
- Strong financial literacy and data analysis capabilities
- Experience with major ticket agents (e.g., Ticketek, Ticketmaster or similar)
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities
- Strong commercial acumen
- Clear communication and presentation skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in a sports league or club environment
- Knowledge of the Australian sporting landscape
