What You'll Do
The objective of the Club Commercial Manager is to work closely with NBL Clubs to help them grow their commercial revenues.
Reporting to the Chief Fans, Clubs, and Strategy Officer, you will:
Commercial Strategy & Analysis
- Lead comprehensive asset valuation and benchmarking across clubs
- Create and distribute industry trend reports and best practice insights
- Develop tailored commercial strategies for each club's unique market
- Conduct financial modeling across key revenue centers
Revenue Growth & Optimization
- Identify and execute revenue opportunities through strategic asset bundling
- Optimize non-core assets including digital platforms and community initiatives
- Create professional sales materials and asset packs to support club partnerships
- Analyze and optimize Venue Hire Agreements to maximize returns
Business Development & Operations
- Identify and implement national procurement opportunities for cost savings
- Lead negotiations for national commercial agreements
- Track and measure commercial initiative performance
- Develop strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth
Stakeholder Leadership
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between clubs while maintaining commercial confidentiality
- Build strong relationships with venue partners and key stakeholders
- Support clubs in implementing revenue growth strategies
- Facilitate best practice adoption across the league
What You Bring
Essential Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial role within a League or Club, live entertainment and/or events environment
- Proven track record in business development, procurement, or sales
- Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities
- Advanced commercial acumen and negotiation abilities
- Excellence in stakeholder management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
