About the role
The Game Expansion Development Manager will play a key role in leading the holistic development of Game Expansion Disciplines (Padel, Pickleball, POP Tennis, Beach Tennis). The role will liaise directly and frequently with key external stakeholder groups to establish positive relationships and to collaborate on opportunities of shared value. Formal engagement opportunities will be established to connect and grow the respective industries, where key updates, data and insights will be shared.
The role will support and service industry partners of each Discipline, whilst providing subject matter expertise to the associated networks. Accordingly, the Game Expansion Development Manager will lead the development and distribution of specific products and resources to assist venues with the successful integration of Disciplines, whilst further establishing national Partnership Programs to connect the club network.
In this role you will:
- Actively engage and partner with identified strategic and commercial partners across all Disciplines to unlock opportunities which support the strategic objectives.
- Develop new and evolve existing Partner Programs for each Discipline to provide baseline benefits to clubs and connect the broader venue network.
- Be an advocate and spokesperson for Padel, Pickleball, POP Tennis, Beach Tennis and represent TA at key industry events.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for those venues that have permanently integrated Padel, Pickleball, POP Tennis, Beach Tennis.
- Integrate and connect functional departments to drive the collective attainment of team objectives. Ensure Game Expansion objectives are integrated across TA functions.
- Remain current with industry developments and trends, with intimate knowledge of the leading business and brands which are driving the growth of each Discipline.
What you will bring to the role:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the sporting ecosystem from grassroots to elite athlete performance.
- Proven experience in strategic thinking, strategy development and execution.
- Knowledge and experience in the delivery of sporting competition, events, and leagues.
- Experience in the management/planning/delivery of national competition / events.
- Demonstrated knowledge of digital platforms supporting the effective delivery of competition / events.
- Alignment with the Tennis values of Excellence, Humility, Collaboration and Imagination.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
