What You'll Do
As Marketing Manager, you'll drive the WNBL's brand growth and fan engagement during an exciting new era for women's basketball in Australia. Reporting to the WNBL Chief Executive Officer and the NBL Chief Fans, Clubs & Strategy Officer, you'll lead strategic marketing initiatives to elevate the WNBL brand, grow our audience, and drive commercial outcomes across all channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing & Brand
- Develop and execute the WNBL annual marketing plan
- Lead implementation of new brand across all consumer touchpoints
- Build brand awareness through targeted campaigns and community engagement
- Manage ambassador and influencer partnerships
Campaign Management
- Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, broadcast, and experiential platforms
- Manage campaign budgets, timelines, and performance metrics
- Create compelling content that drives fan engagement
- Analyze and report on campaign ROI and insights
Fan & Revenue Growth
- Drive strategies to increase attendance, membership, and digital engagement
- Develop initiatives to grow ticket sales and merchandise revenue
- Monitor and optimize fan metrics across all platforms
- Track and report on key performance indicators
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with Digital and Content teams to deliver integrated campaigns
- Partner with WNBL Clubs on league-wide and local marketing initiatives
- Support partnership team to enhance commercial partner visibility
- Manage marketing budget and resources effectively
What You Bring
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably in sports or entertainment
- Strong track record developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Experience growing consumer brands and driving commercial outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership abilities
- Strong analytical skills with focus on data-driven decision making
- Deep understanding of the Australian sports landscape
- Digital marketing expertise across social, content, and engagement platforms
