What You'll Do

As Club Growth & Engagement Manager, you'll coordinate the WNBL's annual planning cycle and develop strong foundations for collaboration with clubs and key stakeholders. Reporting to the WNBL Chief Executive Officer and the NBL Chief Fans, Clubs & Strategy Officer, you'll drive strategic initiatives that support growth and sustainability across the league.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Implementation

  • Develop and manage the WNBL annual planning calendar and business strategy
  • Drive alignment of resources between WNBL team and clubs
  • Coordinate key planning milestones and stakeholder meetings
  • Support major strategic initiatives and business decisions

Club Growth & Engagement

  • Work with clubs to identify growth opportunities and support needs
  • Advocate for club interests within the WNBL organization
  • Facilitate connections between clubs and key WNBL/NBL personnel
  • Drive collaboration and efficiency across departments

Process & Policy Development

  • Implement information sharing platforms for stakeholders
  • Coordinate development of league policies and guidelines
  • Support executive team with key presentations and meetings
  • Monitor industry trends and generate insights for clubs

What You Bring

We're looking for someone with proven and senior experience in a similar strategic planning or club development role, with a track record of:

  • Exceptional planning and project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical mindset to identify trends, process data, and develop future-focused strategies that drive sustainable growth
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience leading collaborative workstreams with high degree of independence
  • Proven ability to adapt and succeed in dynamic, changing environments
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Creative problem-solver with experience optimizing resources and outcomes
  • High attention to detail with strong process development skills
  • Understanding of the Australian sporting landscape, with women's sport experience highly regarded
