About the position
As a casual member of the Merchandise Team at Parramatta Eels home games in 2025, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation of game day sales at one of our merchandise outlets, creating a positive experience for customers and maximizing sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Greet and assist customers.
- Provide product information, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
- Sales and Upselling:
- Actively promote and sell merchandise.
- Suggest related items and upsell to increase sales.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of merchandise within the outlet.
- Replenish stock as needed to ensure products are available for customers.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Keep the merchandise display area neat and well-organised.
- Ensure that products are clearly visible and attractively displayed.
- Implement visual merchandising guidelines.
- Cash Handling and Record-keeping:
- Accurately handle credit card, and mobile payment transactions.
- Security and Loss Prevention:
- Follow loss prevention protocols and report any suspicious activity.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the merchandise booth.
- Assist with Setup and Cleanup:
- Assist in setting up the merchandise booth before the event starts.
- Help with packing and cleaning up the booth after the event.
- Ensure that the merchandise area is left in good condition.
- Knowledge of Products:
- Stay informed about the merchandise, including prices, sizes, and product details.
- Be able to answer customer inquiries about the products.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other merchandise outlet staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist team members when necessary, such as during busy periods or breaks.
About You

- Previous retail or sales experience.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Customer service focus to both internal and external stakeholders.
