One of the largest junior Australian football leagues in Australia is looking to employ a passionate and inspiring leader as their next CEO.
The Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL) has approximately 10,000 registered players, over 400 teams, 31 member clubs and operates predominantly across eastern and northern Melbourne, with games at over 70 grounds across 9 local council areas.
We are seeking a CEO that leads the operation of the league by working closely with volunteer run member clubs. Our CEO professionally represents the YJFL by regularly engaging with our clubs, the AFL, Football Victoria, other metropolitan leagues and all tiers of government (Local, State and Federal Government). The CEO will deliver the best possible football environment for all participants, enabling players to reach their full potential within a safe, inclusive and supportive community.
The YJFL CEO will have a love for the game of Australian Football and deliver results aligned with our Strategic Plan (2024 to 2027) in each of our 5 key pillars. These pillars include collaboration by fostering strong partnerships, leading with integrity, connecting people to forge a strong football community, building trust between the league and key stakeholders, and provision of a high-quality football environment that promotes enjoyment of the game.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Business or Sports Management are desired.
Child Safe Focus: A Working with Children Check and Victoria Police check are required.
The CEO salary and work arrangements will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
