A fantastic opportunity to work with one of the state’s most progressive state sporting associations. Reporting to the President and Board of Directors, the CEO has delegated responsibility for the achievement of Hockey WA’s vision, strategic objectives, operational plans and budgets, and the day-to-day management of Hockey WA, providing direction for, and leadership of, the organisation and its stakeholders. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Effective leadership of Hockey WA, as indicated by behaviour and performance that is consistent with the vision, mission, and values of Hockey WA.
• Ongoing service delivery improvement that achieves high-quality outcomes for the Association’s members.
• Maintaining and implementing effective staff management, development and support systems and processes.
• Maintaining financial and service provision performance, including delivery of major projects, achieved consistent with benchmarks and objectives.
• Lead high value projects including the development of the Australian Hockey Centre.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience working in or with member-based sporting associations.
• Proven communication skills to engage authentically with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to engage with government at all levels.
• Commercial acumen necessary for project delivery and creation of revenue opportunities.
• Demonstrated effective leadership and management skills. 
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
