Boxing Australia is the national sporting organisation recognised by World Boxing (WB), the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) and Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) as the organisation responsible for conducting and developing Olympic style (amateur) boxing in Australia.

About the role
The General Manager Performance will lead the strategic direction and operational delivery of Boxing Australia’s High Performance Program. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by building sustainable success for athletes and coaches, while fostering a culture that prioritises excellence and wellbeing.
Reporting to the CEO, the key duties will include:
- Drive the implementation of the High-Performance Program strategy.
- Collaborate with coaches and performance staff to enhance athlete outcomes and develop capability within the high-performance environment.
- Oversee the preparation and readiness of national teams for pinnacle events, including domestic and international camps and competitions.
- Strengthen collaboration with the National Institute Network, Australian Institute of Sport, and other key stakeholders to build an integrated and effective High-Performance Program.
- Lead and manage high-performance staff and oversee budget allocation to deliver on strategic objectives.
- Ensure transparent and timely development, implementation, and communication of selection processes for all national teams.
About you
Ideally, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications, skills, traits and experiences:
- Experience successfully leading and managing high-performance teams in complex and dynamic environments.
- Experience in the management and/or administration of HP sport programs at the national or international level.
- A comprehensive understanding of the Australian HP Sport System and international sporting landscape.
- Contemporary leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence.
- Strong ability to build and nurture positive relationships and strategic partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in senior leadership, management, or high-level coaching positions.
- An authentic, driven individual with high levels of resilience and self-awareness.
