We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Head Coach for Northcote Swim Club based at Northcote Aquatic & Recreational Centre, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Northcote Swim Team, including coaching, program development, swimmer performance, and team administration.
In October 2023 we opened Northcote Aquatic & Recreation Centre (NARC) on behalf of the City of Darebin. This state of the art and fully accessible venue comprises indoor and outdoor pools, aquatic play spaces, gym and group fitness studios, allied health suites, café, reformer Pilates studio, change rooms and outdoor relaxation areas.

More about the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Coach, or a Coach who is ready to take the next step to lead a growing and developing Swim Club.
The Head Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Northcote Swim Team, including coaching, program development, swimmer performance, and team administration.
The supporting aspect of this role includes assisting in the development of additional Aquatic Programs such our Pre- Squad program and Adult Stroke Correction Squad.
Key Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for swimmers of all levels.
Monitor and evaluate swimmer performance, providing feedback and setting goals for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and OHS guidelines
About You:
Experience as a Swim Coach, at the competitive level.
Minimum requirement Swim Australia Development Coach with willingness to work towards Advanced Coach status
Extensive knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies, and athlete development.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
A people person with exceptional interpersonal skills
Ability to work a varied roster with opens, closes and weekend work
Adopt an energetic and vibrant approach
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Working with Children Check and National Police Check
Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field - desirable
