About the Role

The Brand, Social Impact and Fan Development Intern will support the Events and Community teams to deliver exceptional experience for Parramatta Eels fans and strengthen the club’s connection with the local community. This role is ideal for students that are required to complete an internship as part of their studies, offering hands-on experience with event coordination, game day operations and community initiatives within a professional sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Game Day Operations:  Assist with the game day setup and pack down, coordinating fan precinct activities and pregame activations to create memorable experiences for our fans and members
  • Community Engagement: Support the planning and execution of community outreach programs, including school visits, charity partnerships and grassroots sports events.
  • Event Planning: Help organise and manage the logistics for various non-game day events, working closely with the Events team to ensure smooth execution
  • Fan Development Initiatives: Engage with fans through activities ad programs aimed at building loyalty and expanding the club’s fan base.
  • On-Site Support: Act as a point of contact for our fans and community members at events providing information and enhancing the overall guest experience
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with scheduling, organising resources and managing event run sheets, as well as gathering feedback to help improve future events and community programs.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university degree in Sports Management, Events, Marketing or other related field.
  • Strong interest in event planning, community outreach, and game day operations within a sports environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with fans and community partners
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Organise, detail oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
