We’re on the hunt for a Partnerships Manager to help us elevate our game.  You’ll be the driving force behind securing sponsorship, building strategic alliances and unlocking revenue streams that fuel our success

About us:

WAIS was established in 1984 to enable Western Australian athletes to achieve international sporting success.  We operate in partnership with National Sporting Organisations and State Sporting Associations along with the VenuesWest and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to deliver a high- performance training environment for sports and athletes.

Our purpose is to enable Western Australian athletes to achieve international sporting success and our vision is to have Western Australian sporting champions creating community pride and inspiring the next generation.

Role Overview.

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for proactively seeking new partnership opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to ensure sustainability, profitability and long-term revenue for WAIS.

You will also take on the existing philanthropic scholarship programs for WAIS, whilst seeking further opportunities to support in this space

Let’s break it down, in short, the role looks like this:

  • Seal the deal: identify pitch and secure high value sponsorships and partnerships with aligned brands
  • Build bridges: Cultivate lasting relationships with partners who are on board with our vision and values
  • Be creative: develop exciting sponsorship packages and opportunities that make us impossible to resist
  • Drive results: meet (and smash) revenue targets while ensuring partner satisfaction and ROI
  • Be a brand champion: Represent WAIS with energy, passion, integrity and professionalism.

About you:

  • Relationship pro:  You’re a people person who knows how to build trust and influence decision makers – your stakeholders love dealing with you!
  • You’re a networking genius:  it’s not just about the canapes; connecting with people is where you shine.
  • Sales savvy: You have proven experience in closing big ticket deals, preferably in sponsorship, media or partnerships.  We are ideally seeking 3 years in a relationship management role servicing clients and / or partners.
  • Creative thinking: You can see the big picture and find innovative ways to deliver value for our partners.
  • Elite communicator: You have the charisma to sell ideas and the skills to back them up with data and evidence.
  • Sports enthusiast: You understand and /or love the world or high-performance sport and are excited to be part of the action.
  • You can juggle multiple priorities with ease – managing numerous partners simultaneously and never dropping the ball.
  • Above all else, you are a genuine team player that cares about others and always acts with kindness and integrity.
