Description

The Central Coast Mariners FC are offering an exceptional opportunity for a highly professional and committed Accountant or Assistant Accountant to join their team. 

As part of the team, you will be working 5 days per week where you will assist with many administrative aspects of running the business that will ensure the successful growth of this company and your career. Assistance in game day operations may also occur from time to time.

On a day to day basis, you will have responsibility for accounting functions including:

  • Preparation of payroll of 80 + employees and contractors including, payroll tax, superannuation;
  • Accounts receivable and payable;
  • Processing and reporting in Xero;
  • Manage inventory and assets, including vehicle register;
  • Support month end and year end processes; and
  • Preparation of A-League reporting, including royalties and player reporting.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience accounting experience;
  • High level of experience in all aspects of payroll;
  • Previous exposure to accounts payable/receivable and credit control;
  • Experience in using accounting software, Xero preferred;
  • Ability to process month end journals;
  • High level of Microsoft Office skills, including Excel;
  • The ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation with exceptional customer relations skills;
  • Completion of formal accounting qualifications would be desirable;
  • A high attention to detail and quality;
  • A willingness to ‘pitch in’ wherever required for the benefit of the business; and
  • A positive and professional approach to all tasks and interactions.
