The Sport4All (S4A) program has been commissioned and funded by the Federal Government to build inclusion capability in community and school sport.
The Sport4All (S4A) program employs local Inclusion Coaches into communities to help sporting clubs and schools to be more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. The program is designed and delivered by Get Skilled Access (GSA).
The program works nationwide through partnerships with local governments, schools, clubs, and disability communities.
About the role
As the National Manager for the Sport 4 All Program you sit at a Senior level within GSA and, working with the Co-CEOs, are responsible for leading the successful delivery of Get Skilled Access’ rapidly growing Sport4All program, whilst executing the transformation of this program to achieve greater scale and impact.
Responsibilities include:
Operational and strategic
- Ensure all deliverables and milestones are being met as per the Grant Contract with the Australian Sports Commission.
- In partnership with the Marketing Manager, evolve and implement the Sport4All communication and marketing strategy
- In partnership with the State Managers, identify, engage and secure suitable Council / Community Organisation partners to co-employ Inclusion Coaches and deliver the Sport4All program in specified areas
- In partnership with the First Nations Employment and Capability Lead, expand and refine the First Nations engagement strategy to increase the employment of First Nations people within the Sport4All Inclusion Coach program.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategy to attract high quality Inclusion Coach candidates with disability and lived connection to disability Ensure continuous improvement and efficiency in the delivery of Sport4All
- Lead Sport4All’s strategic and project implementation planning with a focus on sustainability
- In partnership with the CFO, develop the annual budget, monitor income and expenditure, and address any variances.
- Build new ways of working and help to implement systems and processes
Leadership and Management
- Provide overall direction and leadership to the Sport4All team
- Ensure effective implementation of Sport4All team training – identifying areas of improvement, developing existing staff and supporting effective processes for onboarding new Inclusion Coaches
- Promote a team-focused culture and ensure diversity, equity and inclusion is supported in both program and team operations
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
Service Design, Delivery, Promotion & Advocacy
- Develop and evolve sustainable program delivery models in partnership with key stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
- In partnership with the Marketing Manager, wider Sport4All team and external partners, develop and share compelling stories of program impact and sustainable community change
- Manage and deliver the Sport4All program evaluation, demonstrating program impact and outcomes
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in program or project management with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in identifying program goals and implementing suitable measures and evaluation systems
- A passion for and understanding of inclusive sport and impact led design
- Knowledge of the disability sector and accessibility, and an interest in removing barriers to participation for people with disability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements as needed.
- A genuine interest in developing people, employee wellbeing and promoting a positive and ethical equitable working environment
Other useful qualities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.
- A strong understanding of the barriers experienced by people with disability is desired.
