Description

Are you passionate about Para-sport and driven to make a difference in Paralympic athlete development? Paralympics Australia (PA) are looking for a Para Sport Literacy Lead to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

The Para Sport Literacy Lead will develop and deliver high-quality education programs and resources tailored to Para-sport. This role will drive knowledge-sharing initiatives that improve technical expertise and understanding across PA staff, members, coaches, athletes, and the wider Para-sport community.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement engaging educational content on Para-sport, including e-learning modules, workshops, and resources.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of Para-sport, including classification and key sport principles.
  • Support a diverse audience, including athletes, coaches, administrators, and support staff.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the development of best-practice learning materials.
  • Drive innovation in Para-sport education, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.

About You

The ideal candidate is passionate about education and Para-sport, with strong communication and collaboration skills. You are an innovative thinker with experience in program development and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content. You will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of the Australian sport system, Para-sport, and classification.
  • Proven experience in education, training, or program development.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Background in education (particularly adult learning), sport management, disability studies, or communications.
  • A combination of education, career and lived experience will also be considered
  • Working with Children’s Check.
  • Completion of key Sport Integrity Australia training courses (or willingness to complete).
