Paddle Australia (PA) is the National Sports Organisation responsible for the management, coordination, development and promotion of paddling in Australia. Operating in a commercial and inclusive manner with government, business and community, PA ensures the value of competitive and recreational paddling is understood and supported in all policy and business decisions.

About the role
The Volunteer & Event Administration Coordinator will support the successful delivery of the 2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships by leading the recruitment, training, and management of event volunteers and providing administrative support to the Event Operations Team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of the 2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
- Lead in the recruitment, training, and rostering of volunteer workforce
- Coordinate procurement and distribution of staff and volunteer uniforms
- Develop volunteer incentives and loyalty program
- Plan and deliver volunteers thank you event
- Provide on-site support to volunteers on event days
- Provide administrative support to the Event Operations Team
- Produce detailed event documentation
- Assist in the planning and procurement of event services
Required Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, or Sport or Event Management, or equivalent experience.
- Current Working With Children Check, or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
Experience/Skill Level Required
- 2 years’ experience in a HR, recruitment or volunteer workforces role OR event management role or equivalent.
- Event experience - major tournament or sport experience advantageous.
- Proven track record in successfully managing projects from planning to implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting cross-functional teams and contributing to collaboration towards common goals.
