Sport Climbing Australia (SCA) is the national sporting organisation for the sport of competition climbing in Australia. We are responsible for the sports stewardship, management, promotion and growth. Our athletes compete globally in events sanctioned by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC).
Who you are:
The High-Performance Coordinator will play a pivotal support role within SCA’s High-Performance Program. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, coaches, athletes, and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide essential operational, administrative, and logistical support to ensure the effective delivery of programs that drive Australian climbers' success on the world stage. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and implement systems and processes that will support the program’s growth. This fast-paced, dynamic role is ideal for someone who excels in administration and is passionate about sport performance.
Key responsibilities:
Program support - Provide coordination, operational, and administrative support for the SCA High-Performance Program, ensuring alignment with the LA2028 High-Performance Strategy. Responsibilities include managing logistics, scheduling, and ensuring the seamless execution of program activities.
Communication - Compile, prepare, and coordinate accurate information and data for various communications, including briefings, memos, presentations, and reports. This includes supporting the Senior Leadership Team and communicating with internal and external stakeholders as required.
Systems Development and Management - Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and systems to monitor and evaluate performance and progress in alignment with daily operations and the LA2028 High-Performance Strategy.
Financial and Resource Management - Oversee budgeting, financial controls, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient management of financial resources within the High-Performance Program.
Data Management - Record, monitor, and analyse data across the High-Performance Program, providing accurate and timely information to inform both operational and strategic decision-making.
General Administration - Provide administrative support to the High-Performance team, including coordinating day-to-day logistics and operations to support athletes, coaches, and performance staff across various activities, such as training camps and other program initiatives.
Key Selection Criteria
Experience - Demonstrated experience (5yrs+) in a dynamic administrative role, preferably within a high performance sports environment. Experience in financial management will be highly regarded.
Organisational Skills - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders including athletes, coaches, performance support staff and system partners.
Attention to detail - Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in managing athlete data, schedules and logistical arranegements.
Technology - High proficiency in MS Office (including Sharepoint) and experience with athlete management software (or similar type CRM) would be advantagous.
Personal Attributes - A pro-active, flexible and solution focused approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
General
Occassional travel throughout Australia and internationally may be required.
Working with Children and Police Check will be required.
