THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for an energetic Events Coordinator to assist in the planning, implementation, and coordination of key club events (e.g. Season Launch, Guernsey Presentations, AFL & AFLW Club Champion and Hall of Fame events).

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the Event Specialist to assist in the organisation and delivery of club events
  • Oversee and manage smaller-scale club events
  • Coordinate logistics such as venue bookings, suppliers and caterers
  • Assist with hospitality activities including, working with caterers, corporate ticketing and use of the catering and event platform
  • Assist with Club events administration, including travel, uniform orders and beverage coordination
  • Support in the management of guest invitations, RSVP tracking, and event attendee data
  • Assist with event inbox management and communications with event attendees
  • VIP stakeholder management and concierge
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the delivery of Sydney Swans events

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Tertiary qualification (or equivalent professional experience) in events, sports management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event coordination
  • Excellent planning and operational skills
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced capability across the Microsoft Office Suite

Due to the nature of the industry, the ideal candidate must be flexible in their availability as extended hours and weekend work will be required for this role
