Diving WA is the State Sporting Organisation (SSO) responsible for overseeing and promoting the Olympic sport of springboard and platform diving in Western Australia. As the peak body for diving in the region, Diving WA plays a crucial role in supporting athletes, coaches, and officials, while also fostering the development and growth of the sport at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition. The organisation provides opportunities for divers of all ages and skill levels to participate in training, competitions, and other diving-related activities. Diving WA works in close collaboration with the national diving bodies to ensure that Western Australian athletes are provided with the best possible resources, training programs, and pathways to success in the sport.
Reporting to the Diving WA Board, the Executive Officer: Diving WA is responsible for overseeing.

- Lead the Diving WA’s Annual Strategic Planning and ensure alignment with KPIs.
- Monitor and report on KPI progress to the Board, identifying areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous performance improvement, innovation, and alignment across the department.
ABOUT YOU
- Exceptional Diving (or related other sport) knowledge, coupled with a strategic mindset.
- Demonstrated capacity to guide, mentor, and develop others, fostering growth, excellence, and collaboration within teams.
- A strong personal brand, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and commitment to upholding club values.
WHAT YOU NEED
- At least 3 years management experience in high-performance sports administration or related business environments, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong commercial acumen, including expertise in financial management, risk management, strategic planning, and operational budgeting.
- Tertiary qualifications in management, business, sports administration or a related field
- In-depth experience working with high-performance athletes, coaches, and specialists, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges they face.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence and facilitate behavioural change, manage complex teams, and drive high performance in fast-paced environments.
The role is available on a part-time basis, with options for 0.6 or 0.8 full-time equivalent hours, offering flexibility throughout the workweek. Occasionally, you may need to attend diving competitions or events on weekends, but you will have the freedom to manage your working hours independently. Please note, this role involves managing a small team, and will require an engaging, hands-on approach to leadership and day-to-day operations.
