This exciting, newly created role will be responsible for leading all of Netball Australia's ticketing operations, driving revenue through sales and promotions, and collaborating with internal team and external stakeholders to optimise ticketing strategies.
Reporting to an approachable and dedicated Ticketing & Consumer Products Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Lead all ticketing operations for events, and sell tickets, ticketing packages, and other revenue driving opportunities
- Use of specialist knowledge to inform direction regarding venue modes, capacities, fees, charges
- Process and distribute complimentary and contractual ticketing requests including staff and partners
- Manage ticketing process end to end through booking on-sale plans, completing ticket builds, proactive inventory management, managing on-sale periods, overseeing event day/night and post-event settlement
- Observe daily ticket sales & proactively ensure availability of inventory at all times
- Manage, fulfil and report on all ticket inventory – management of sales, availabilities, holds, complimentary tickets, partner tickets, VIPs, house seats, industry tickets, venue holds, on sellers etc
- Assess pricing and ticket inventory to identify and coordinate opportunities with an emphasis on efficient ticketing management and generating additional revenue
- Assess allocation of inventory to initiatives including premium pricing, VIP, promotions and/or partner related activity
- Work closely with Partnerships team to integrate partner pre-sales & partner allocated ticketing
- Serve as primary contact for stakeholders, offering expert guidance to meet event ticketing needs.
- Maintain day-to-day external relationships with ticket agents, venues, artist agents, partners etc
- Assist with operational running of the event day
- Support SSN Teams and Consumer Network with ticketing initiatives, information and updates, fortnightly meetings and reporting
- Representation at departmental & external meetings, venue & ticketing agent meetings etc
- Identify opportunities for additional revenue through value-added services, promotions, and packages
- Conduct analysis to provide actionable insights and recommendations to achieve the best outcomes for all parties
- Work with Product & Experience team on VIP packaging distribution & maximise uplift, travel packages & other ancillary
- Provide daily reports on sales, industry sales and group bookings
- Assist in driving the data strategy of Netball Australia and working to ensure that data cross the business is consolidated and used to inform decision making
- Oversee database hygiene and quality and developing strategies to improve data quality
- Provide a written report at the end of each event, including recommendations for future improvement
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

- 2-3 years in a similar role within the sports, or events industry
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of mainstream ticketing systems (e.g. Aspect, Insight Plus, TM1)
- Being an agile problem solver with exceptional attention to detail and planning skills
- Excellent relationship management skills with a passion for Customer Experience
- Competent arithmetical abilities with experience in calculating venue capacities and balancing sales figures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with ticketing event builds and working with major ticket agents (e.g.: Ticketmaster, Ticketek or similar)
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment with competing priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Outstanding organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
On the cusp of our centenary, and significant opportunity leading into the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney, there has never been a more exciting time to join. This full-time, permanent opportunity is based at our HQ in vibrant Fitzroy, where you will be spoilt for choice on great coffee spots! Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the regional/global nature of the organisation, travelling and working outside of Netball HQ and traditional office hours may be required.
